When you struggle with anxiety or worry or minister to others with anxiety, you want a real and lasting solution.
“Do not be anxious about anything” (Phil 4:6) does not mean you should deny your emotions—that only causes stress to become anxiety.
As we look at Philippians 4:6 in context, we see we are not anxious because “the Lord is near” (Phil 4:5) and that it is through “prayer and petition” that our relief comes (Phil 4:6). It is a peace that is not wrought from self-help strategies—it is the “peace of God” (Phil 4:7).
You can learn how to trust God to calm your anxious mind and help others to experience peace.
Breath Prayers are a tool that can help!
To be anxious is to worry or fixate on troubles. Often you feel restless, agitated, or burdened.
Anxiety is not the same thing as stress. We all experience difficulties and challenges every day — that’s stress. Anxiety is internalized stress. It develops from an anxious mindset and perhaps being overloaded with stress. Denial of emotions often plays a role in anxiety.
In this webinar, Jessica will share her experience with anxiety and how she’s used breath prayers to be present to her emotions.
Together we’ll explore how we can use our own experiences and struggles to become a wounded healer to offer empathy to others. You’ll also learn how you can meet others in their overwhelming emotions without pressure through prayer.
